The cold winter is behind us and we are fast approaching the Life in a Paper Boat May Tour. We're very excited to share special 25 Year anniversary treats and make wonderful memories in 2017. Still, it is significant that we acknowledge and thank you for your continual support, this time on Kate's YouTube channel! The channel recently surpassed a quarter of a million video views & 1,600 subscribers, which is phenomenal!! 🙂 As a small thank you, Kate has compiled a small playlist with her favourite YouTube videos and songs to share with you. Folk Roots: December 1997 Issue

We know, 90s fashion is a debate in itself!! The fact Kate still owns the exact pair of yellow trousers featured on the cover of Folk Roots magazine proves how legendary they are. This edition of Folk Roots capped off a monumental year for Kate, as 1997 was the breakout year for her debut solo album Hourglass. The interview with Colin Irwin titled "Rusbymania" captured reader's attention from the get-go. It details the success prior to Hourglass and highlights the impact Kate & Kathryn Roberts made in folk with their collaborative album in 1995. Hourglass – 20 Years on!

Happy birthday Hourglass! 20 years ago Kate's debut solo album shipped to record stores across the world. So fast in fact, the album sold out in its  first pressing within three weeks! The album served as Kate's introduction to songwriting with tracks Old Man Time & A Rose In April. Hourglass is an album that brought folk to listeners far and wide, and here's the interview from The Living Tradition Magazine dated May/ June 1997! Happy New Year – 2017!

Happy New Year! 2017 is upon us and it's time for excitement to build as we enter the 25 year anniversary for Kate's career! 2016 was a brilliant year for Kate and Damien, foremost seeing the release of the album "Life in a Paper Boat". Kate's 14th album made waves on music charts, captivated audiences nationwide with multiple tours and saw Damien's production receive acclaim from numerous reviews. The festive season capped the year off with a worldwide Christmas concert livestream, engaging with fans across the globe for the first time! Not to mention a little cameo on the Stella Christmas Special and a brand new Christmas Songbook! We are eager to share 2017 with you all, as there are plenty of surprises set for this year. The Tour is all Over

After 14 autumn dates, travelling far and wide across the U.K and Ireland, Kate Rusby's Album Launch Tour for Life in a Paper Boat has drawn to an end... unfortunately!! Kate, Damien, the band and tour crew have had a fantastic time promoting the album with magnificent live shows, proving after nearly 25 years on the road, Kate is still touching the hearts of so many with her music. We want to give a massive thank you to everyone who attended the shows, for supporting Life in a Paper Boat and giving Kate a warm welcome in every venue she performed. Whether it was by singing along, buying Big Brave Bill mugs or sending messages online, it is all appreciated! Meanwhile, preparations are well underway for the upcoming Christmas Tour! Of course, by now it is a Christmas tradition to come along and sing festive carols with Kate. But for anyone who hasn't seen Kate at Christmas time, this year is definitely a good time to start! With 13 dates spread throughout December, be sure to get your tickets before they dash away. All the information can be viewed by clicking here!
